Any event that involves experiencing or witnessing actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence has the potential to be traumatic. Almost everyone who experiences trauma will be emotionally affected, and there are many different ways in which people will respond.
Grief is the reaction to loss, everyone grieves differently, it may be through tears, anger, pain etc. Grief is often complicated and may last from two to five years. Those who are dealing with grief may feel misunderstood by those closest to them; they may also want to avoid being a burden.
At Brian Murdock Counseling the goal is to help establish and increase personal empowerment to help the individual find a path of growth and well-being. We are dedicated to helping others. The goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worthwhile.
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
